Helen Georgas is a Greek Canadian American writer and librarian based in Brooklyn, New York. She is an editor of the digital arts platform Underwater New York and served as literary co-editor of Silent Beaches, Untold Stories: New York City’s Forgotten Waterfront (Damiani).

Her manuscript of linked stories, Inventory, was selected as runner-up for the 2025 Grace Paley Prize and longlisted for the 2025 W. S. Porter Prize.

Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Prairie Fire, The Writer’s Chronicle, The Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, and elsewhere. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College and has been awarded residencies at A-Z West, South Porch Artists Residency, Writers House, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, The Hambidge Center, and Dorland Mountain Arts.
